Xiaomi launches Mi 9T in Malaysia priced from RM1,199
Xiaomi is bringing in their latest phone the Mi 9T to Malaysia which notably has a pop-up selfie camera, a huge battery and a front that is practically all display at a mindbogglingly affordable price tag.
The Xiaomi Mi 9T brings to the table a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 6000:1 contrast ratio covered with Gorilla Glass 5 for resistance against nicks and scratches. To ensure maximum screen real estate, the Mi 9T integrates a pop-up 20-MP AI-enhanced camera for selfies; this setup ensures that the phone has a whopping 91.9% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, the Mi 9T comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 2.2GHz octacore processor running Android Pie 9.0, this is paired with two storage configurations for the Malaysia market with your choice of either 6GB RAM /64GB storage or a higher end 6GB RAM/128GB storage.
The rear of the Mi 9T comes with a triple camera array that combines a 48-MP F/1.75 primary camera using a Sony IMX582 sensor, a secondary 13-MP camera with an ulrra wide angle lens and an 8-MP F/2.4 telephoto lens. The front-facing selfie camera consists of a 20-MP F/2.2 sensor that also has AI scene detection and AI portrait selfies. Keeping it charged is a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Other mod-cons include – surprise – a 3.5mm audio jack, NFC and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
For Malaysia, the Mi 9T will come in your choice of three colours Glacier Blue, Flame Red and Carbon Black with the 6GB RAM/64GB storage version priced at RM1,199 and the higher end 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant retailing at RM1,399.
Xiaomi Mi 9T preorder details
The Mi 9T is up for preorders from 20th – 24 June in both storage variants with a street date of 25 June 2019.
