Xiaomi Malaysia is expanding their line-up of offerings in malaysia with the launch of not one but two phones in the form of the Redmi Note7, the affordable Redmi 7 as well as the first of a growing range of smart home ecosystem devices in the form of the Mi LED smart light bulb, a Mi Home Security camera and a Mi Smart Sensor Set.

Redmi Note 7 with 3GB RAM/ 32GB | 4GB RAM / 64GB 4GB RAM

The biggest draw to the Redmi Note 7 is a rear dual camera array with a massive 48-MP f/1.8 camera that uses the latest Samsung ISOCELL Plus GM1 sensor that merges four pixels into a single 1.6um pixel for exceptional detail and better low light. This is paired with a secondary 5-MP sensor that uses a Samsung S5K5E8 processor to capture depth details.

In terms of other hardware, the Redmi Note 7 has a large 6.3-inch FHD+ dot drop display with a dewdrop shaped notch cut into the top for the 13-MP f/2.0 selfie camera which has an AI beautify mode that offers more pleasing mugshots as well as an AI Face unlock mode.

The aforementioned dewdrop notch allows Xiaomi to have a 19.5:9 screen aspect ratio for movies and gaming alike. For added peace of mind, the display is sheathed in Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood the Redmi Note 7 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 2.2GHz octacore processor and is available in Malaysia in your choice of a 3GBRAM/32GB  for RM679 as a Lazada exclusive starting ,27 March onwards a 4GB RAM/64GB variant for RM799 and 4GB RAM / 128GB storage for RM949 along with an 18 month warranty. All variants retain a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support via a USB Type C port as well as an IR blaster to control appiances. And yes, the Redmi Note 7 still retains a 3.5mm audio jack. Colour choices consist of your choice of Neptune Blue, Nebula Red and Space Black.

Redmi 7 with 2GB RAM/16GB | 3GB RAM/ 32GB

Fresh off its debut in China a few days ago, Xiaomi Malaysia announced that the Redmi 7 will also be making its way to Malaysia. The phone is a classic Xiaomi design language in terms of hitting a sweet spot for affordability and performance with the entry level variant retailing for just half a grand.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi 7 has a 6.25-inch HD+ dewdrop display up top, a high efficiency Snapdragon 632 octacore processor, a 4,000mAh battery, a rear dual camera array that pairs up a 16-MP and 2-MP depth sensor along with AI enhancements, a front-facing 8-MP selfie camera, an IR blaster, a 3.5mm audio jack and your choice of either red, blue or black gradient finishes.

In terms of storage options, you can opt for a 2GB RAM/16GB for RM499 and a 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage for RM599. The Redmi 7 will be available in Malaysia starting 27 March.
