These MUNCHY’S CHOC-O cookies are parcels of chocolatey delight

Getting a decent chocolate chip cookie locally that doesn’t taste like a soggy, sad lump of overly-sugared despair is like finding a needle in a haystack. Of course, you can opt for an imported brand that tastes like an actual chocolate cookie though you’ll have to pay through your nose for the privilege. Fortunately, local confectionery purveyor MUNCHY’S has come up with an offering that actually tastes like a real chocolate chip cookie without costing an arm and a leg. Enter their new MUNCHY’S CHOC-O chocolate chip cookies.

The new MUNCHY’S CHOC-O cookies come in three delectable variants, all of which are slathered in a lusciously rich drizzle of chocolate on top with two of them being a slight twist on the stock version. You have the CHOC-O original flavour chocolate chip cookies, the CHOC-O double chocolate chip cookies  and for those looking for a bit more bite, you get the CHOC-O mixed nuts variant that comes with crunchy nuts within it for a more unique bite.

A taste test of the original flavour variant proved surprisingly delightful. The cookie had a crumbly bite to it and it had a decent amount of chocolate chips evenly dispersed throughout while offering a pleasantly sweet flavour that made it a great accompaniment to a cup of coffee. We’ve yet to field test their double chocolate and mixed nut variants but it’s a test that we’re looking forward to.

All three new MUNCHY’S CHOC-O biscuits are available nationwide at all good retailers and come in three sizes depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have and at pleasantly agreeable prices. In West Malaysia, the 78gm variant retails for RM2.60, the 125gm variant retails for RM3.60 while the largest 235gm version retails for RM7.80.
