The Lifepack may just be the ultimate backpack for road warriors

If you’re a knowledge worker on the road, you’ll likely have to worry about a few more things than just toting around a change of clothes and a bar of Snickers for when you’re peckish. Odds are you’re more concerned about keeping all your devices, and you’ll likely have more than one on you, powered through the day. Solgaard Design’s new Lifepack looks like just the ticket to keep your stuff safe, get your house in order and ensure that your gear remains charged. It comes in black or white with a rain resistant material to prevent your wordly goods from getting soaked and sports an interesting array of features to make it extremely useful for gadget oriented travellers. A solar cell panel up top keeps a built-in power bank and portable Bluetooth speaker topped up and powered through the day. While they haven’t said how large the battery is, they’ve claimed that it’s able to fully top off an iPhone 6 a dozen times.

The internal areas are partitioned, with one for work related stuff and the other for clothing. For the former, it has padded areas all around to keep a laptop up to 15-inches in size safe along with other work related gear. For the latter you have enough for a weekend out with at least two changes of clothing crammed in. Combined, the bag’s storage capacity works out to about 18 litres. Without gear, it weighs 700g though the powerbank and solar cell panel alone weigh 450g.features

It also has an integrated lock and lockable zippers to prevent your stuff getting nicked while a host of hidden pockets help you keep important stuff like your passport safe. Just remember which pocket you hid it in. It costs US$249 in the open market though you can score one for US$100 off the full price if you swing by their Kickstarter page now which coincidentally is right here. So far, it’s funded to the tune of US$500,000 way over the original asking price of US$20,000 so people may be on to a good thing.
