While all eyes are on Samsung’s most recent flagship phones, they haven’t been sitting idle on pushing their tablet range either. The slate comes with a textured, grippy finish in your choice of silver, white, or black while weighing in at 289g. For your money, in this case RM799, you get a 7-inch WXGA TFT touchscreen, a 1.5GHz quadcore processor running Android 5.1 Lollipop, 1.5GB RAM , 8GB of onboard expandable storage, a rear 5-MP snapper, a 2-MP front selfie camera along with a 4,000mAh battery. While they’re considered modestly specced compared to their flagship Galaxy Tab S series slates, the Tab A lineage has always been about bang for the buck and the 7-inch Tab A 2016 edition fulfills that ideal nicely with its hardware set that looks more than able to handle most mainstream tasks for those on a budget.
