Samsung Malaysia wins Marketer of the Year and more at 2018 Putra Brand Awards

Samsung Malaysia Electronics won big at the recent 2018 Putra Brand Awards where they were conferred two coveted Gold awards in the “Communications Devices” and “Camera, IT and Office & Business Equipment” categories as well as the vaunted “2018 Marketer of the Year” award. Samsung also snagged a Silver award for its “Personal, Household & Outdoor Appliances” segment.

The 2018 Marketer of the Year award was conferred to Samsung Malaysia on account of their brand philosophy over the year which has created meaningful, innovative and useful products across the range from smartphones to white goods for Malaysians.

Among their most memorable products are their Galaxy Note9 smartphones, their Galaxy S9 flagship phones, their recent POWERstick Pro cordless vacuums, the innovative QLED TVs and more. To determine the winners, the Putra Brand Awards uses a rigorous research method where over 6,000 consumers are polled for their favourite brands across multiple categories which establishes winners as choices by the ultimate judge – Malaysian consumers.

For the uninitiated, the Putra Brand Awards was established in 2010 by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) in association with Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands (MMVB) to recognise brand building as an integrated business investment measured by consumer preference.
