What’s so special about the Galaxy S22 Ultra
Intended as the successor to last year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra and the heir to the legacy of the venerable Galaxy Note series, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a staggering array of improvements though the biggest one of all would be the inclusion of an integrated S Pen stylus.
Previously the exclusive domain of the Galaxy Note series that faded into history with the Galaxy Note20 series a couple of years back, the revamped S Pen in the Galaxy S22 Ultra offers all the functionality and performance that the stylus was previously known for and takes it up a notch.
For starters, the new S Pen in the Galaxy S22 Ultra has vastly reduced latency, reducing the 9ms in prior models down to a blazing fast 2.8ms. This allows it, in tandem with predictive AI-powered software in the display and the processor, allows it to respond with a smoothness and speed akin to writing with a real pen.
Add in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and the ability to control selected functions on the phone, including the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s cameras remotely for group shots and you have a useful tool with immense versatility and potential.
Powering the Galaxy S22 Ultra is a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor running the latest Android 12 and OneUI 4.1, 12GB of RAM and the phone comes with up to 512GB of storage which allows it to tackle any challenge you throw at it.
