Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e arrive in Malaysia

Unveiled at Unpacked 2019 earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e are svelte looking and lightweight life tracker smartbands that help people track their fitness goals plus how long they’ve been a couch potato while clocking in at a price tag that’s even more affordable than the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch that we reviewed recently.

The Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e have similar form factors with both coming with a narrow rectangular display and a svelte rubber watchband. The Galaxy Fit is the more capable of the pair in terms of hardware and functionality though both are able to track the usual fitness activities like walking, biking, hiking, running and more. Both are also able to track a host of other fitness activities by pairing it up with the Samsung Health App via Bluetooth to a smartphone though these extra activities aren’t automatically tracked and have to be manually enabled for the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e to start tracking them.

The Galaxy Fit comes with a 0.95-inch AMOLED, 120 x 240 touchscreen, a slightly larger 120mAh battery and wireless charging along with constant heart rate tracking. The cheaper Galaxy Fit e has a lower resolution 0.75-inch mono PMOLED touchscreen display, a smaller 70mAh battery and has heart rate tracking too but you it’s not constant. The Galaxy Fit e is also lighter too at just 15g versus the Galaxy Fit’s 24g.
