Samsung Galaxy A30 and A50 arrive in Malaysia

While Samsung is best known for their flagship Galaxy S series and Note series phones that pack the best hardware available to ensure that they are among the most powerful phones on the block with prices to match, they are now attempting to carve a bigger notch in the midrange market and have just rolled out the affordable Galaxy A30 and the Galaxy A50 in Malaysia.

Both phones aim to offer large displays paired with equally hefty battery life at modest prices. The chassis of the phone is primarily hewn of plastic with a fetching looking gradient finish that makes it resemble glass though it proves to be a lot lighter to tote around.

In terms of hardware, both the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 both sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display which, as you’d surmise from its designation, has a U-shaped notch on the upper quadrant of the display for the selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A30 runs on an Exynos 7904 octacore processor built on a 14nm processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
