Samsung Galaxy A22 5G comes with a huge display and battery for RM999

Samsung has just introduced another Galaxy A series phone intended for those on a budget dubbed the Galaxy A22 5G in Malaysia that brings 5G connectivity and a slew of features for just RM999.

The phone has a modest ensemble of hardware to meet its equally modest price point. You get a front facing 6.6-inch Full HD LCD Infinity V display that’s generously sized for what you pay for and – more importantly, also has a nippy 90Hz refresh rate. A small V-shaped punch hole up front allows for a front-facing 8MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A22 5G comes with a MediaTek MT6833V octacore processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via a microSD card slot. The rear comes with a primary 48MP F/1.8 camera, a 5MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor with the whole array capable of 2K@30fps video capture.

Keeping the phone powered is a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
