Samsung Electronics maintains 6th place with US$61.1 billion brand value in Best Global Brands 2019 list

Mention the brand name Samsung and you’ll immediately call to mind their range of smartphones but the brand does quite a bit more than that with a complete range of white goods from smart refrigerators to their QLED 8K TVs and more. This level of recognition and trust in their products translates into brand value and in that regard, Samsung maintained their lead in Interbrand’s “Best Global Brands 2019” list with a two percent growth in brand value with a total value of a whopping USD$61.1 billion.

For the uninitiated, the Interbrand Best Global Brands 2019 report lists the top 100 most reputable, trusted brands today with the ceremony announcing the winners taking place in New York on 23rd October 2019. Since 2013, Samsung has steadily climbed the list from 8th place then to 7th place for 3 consecutive years before moving and maintaining 6th place since 2017 which is no small feat.

While Samsung’s smartphone business is the highest profile out of its diverse range of business interests, the brand’s ranking in 2019 is also on account of innovations in other areas like the commencement of mass production of the industry’s first 12-gigabit LPDDR5 mobile DRAM and new products like the next-generation Galaxy Fold.

Other areas that have bolstered their position as a market leader for the past 13 consecutive years include new home appliances that offer unique differentiated benefits like the BESPOKE. The brand has also continued with significant investment in in-house R&D, strategy partnerships and investment in other fields including the automotive industry too.

We are excited that our constant efforts to provide meaningful innovations that delight consumers and help them live better lives have been well received,” said YH Lee, CMO of Samsung Electronics. “To further enhance our brand, we will continue to listen and learn from our consumers as well as lead changes in society through innovation, so that we can all thrive together.” For more on the Interbrand Best Global Brands report, swing by their page at https://www.interbrand.com/best-brands/best-global-brands/2019/ For more on Samsung swing by http://news.samsung.com
