Revamped Samsung Galaxy Tab A now sports S Pen stylus for RM1,599

While there has been a dearth of new Android slates in the market, you’ll be chuffed to know that there’s a slate in town. Samsung’s revamped incarnation of the Galaxy Tab A that sports a raft of improvements all around and the notable addition of an S Pen stylus to turn it into an artist’s slate.

The Tab A (2016) comes with a 10.1-inch WUXGA TFT touchscreen, packs a 1.6GHz octacore processor paired with 3GB RAM and has 16GB of onboard storage expandable via microSD card. The microSD card slot allows you to beef up storage significantly as it supports up to 256GB cards. A rear 8-MP camera lets you take the odd snap or two while the front comes with a 2-MP snapper for selfies and a stylus well hides the S Pen stylus that lets you draw and doodle as you see fit on the touchscreen. It runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 and crams in a mammoth 7,300mAh battery into a casing that’s 8.2mm thin while weighing a reasonable 560g.
