Razer BlackWidow V3 gaming keyboard arrives in two variants and awesomely tougher, brighter keys from RM490

The venerable Razer BlackWidow mechanical gaming keyboard has been beefed up in its third incarnation with a host of features that gamers would truly appreciate. Dubbed the Razer BlackWidow V3, the new keyboard improves on its successors in a host of ways and also comes in a more compact BlackWidow V3 Tenkeyless variant too.

The Razer BlackWidow V3’s notably comes with Razer Mechanical Switches in your choice of either clicky Razer Mechanical Green switches or the smooth, silent and linear Razer Yellow Switches.

Regardless of your taste for clicky or silent switches, these beefed up switches are as tough as they come and benefit from Doubleshot ABS keycaps which have the lettering moulded into the very structure of the keycap along with thickened walls for enhanced durability.

To wit, these upgraded keys are rated for 80 million keystrokes; you’ll likely be able to type out the entirety of the Frank Herbert’s Dune series of novels several times over.

Other mod-cons with the new BlackWidow V3 series keyboards include a sturdier aluminium top frame.

The larger Razer BlackWidow V3 also has the enviable benefit of having a detachable wrist rest along with the option for a unique pinkish looking Quartz variant. The BlackWidow V3’s larger keyboard footprint also has a media roller that lets you control content playback with ease. Alternatively, you can customise what the roller does and assign the usual macros in typical Razer fashion via their Synapse software.
