Culled from their high-end SUHD TV line, Quantum Dot tech, boiled down, allows a display to show vastly better blacks, brilliant whites onscreen and better colours. The CFG70 also sports several other improvements that gives it an impressive sRGB 125% support that enables it to have significantly richer, lusher colours onscreen.

Combined, all this imaging tech gives it a nippy 144Hz refresh rate and a silky smooth 1ms moving picture response time (MPRT) that reduces ghosting between animations and fast moving objects displayed on the CFG70. Samsung has also leveraged AMD’s FreeSync Tech over HDMI to synchronise the refresh rate of the display with a users’ AMD graphic cards to minimise stutter or image tearing.

Externally, the CFG sports a gentle 1800R curvature on its display for an immersive gaming experience and a rather manly looking design with a sturdy double hinge that allows you to reposition the monitor in a vertical position along with a modicum of pivotability and height adjustability. There’s even a nifty little hook on the back on the hinge armature that allows gamers to hang their headphones. On the portage front is sports two HDMI ports, a display port and an audio out on the back.

The emphasis on gaming doesn’t end there. The CFG70 also has baked-in firmware that allows users to optimise the display’s contrast ratio, black gamma and white balance levels to optimise it for specific game genres including FPS, RTS, RPG and AOS games. If all this has piqued your interest, the Samsung CFG70 Quantum dot curved gaming monitors come in two different sizes with commensurately different price tags.
