The innovative Pause Fest is going online for 2021

The world’s leading festival for business and creativity will be holding their 11th concurrent show this coming 1st to 12th March 2021 in a completely different fashion from before as they’re going to be holding it in a virtual fashion online.

For 2021, Pause Fest will have an overarching theme that they’ve dubbed as ‘Changes’ with the event focusing on how the best leaders are made in adverse conditions. According to the organisers, Pause Fest will have 20,000 tickets available to an audience that is truly global while 10,000 festival tickets, collectively valued at RM2,25 billion will be donated to disadvantaged, deterred or discriminated communities to allow them to fully participate in one of the world’s most innovative events on the planet.

While things haven’t been set in stone just yet, Pause Fest is slated to bring in 100 speakers from all over the world that are culled from the best and brightest minds in business, tech and the creative community.

Among the list of confirmed speakers for Pause Fest 2021 include Danielle Krettek, founder of the Google Empathy Lab, Dirk Ahlborn, the CEO of HyperloopTT and Christopher Gerty, Explorations Informatics Lead from NASA – yes, ‘that’ NASA that slings shuttles and sundry other objects into space. Other worthies include Lee Hatton, Executive Vice President of Afterpay and Myleeta Aga Williams, the Director of Content from Netflix (Singapore).

One big change seeing the online nature of the event is that Pause Fest will take place over a longer period of time. Rather than a hectic three days like the old days  from its traditional locale in Melbourne, the online nature of Pause Fest 2021 allows it to take place over the course of two weeks with shorter sessions while ensuring maximum content, flexible viewing options and the ability to engage multiple tracks and other aspects of the event.
