New teaser video hints at enhanced storage for Galaxy Note9 1

New teaser video hints at enhanced storage for Galaxy Note9

Everyone is anticipating the imminent arrival of the Galaxy Note9 that will launch in New York less than two weeks from now and Samsung is ramping things up with the release of a series of teaser videos. Last night, they released an enigmatic video that hints at enhanced battery endurance for the Note9. This time around, the new teaser video addresses the next pain point for smartphone users that the Note9 seems to be able to address – storage or a lack thereof.

The second teaser video shows someone using a smartphone which isn’t a Note9 and having to download a massive 800MB file. Needless to say, the average budget phone isn’t going to have anything like that kind of spare storage space lying around which has the user scrambling to delete everything they can – the smartphone equivalent of jettisoning flotsam from a boat – just to accommodate the file to no avail.

The clip ends on a cliffhanger with the outcome unresolved bar the fact that the person in the video doesn’t manage to cram that file into their phone. Afterwards, the clip shows the enigmatic tagline seen on the last teaser video “A Lot Can Change in a Day” followed by the date of the Samsung Unpacked event on 9 August 2018.

If the grapevine is to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 can potentially come with a massive amount of onboard storage starting from 128GB maxing out to a humongous 512GB variant for certain markets. And that’s not even factoring in the option to expand it via a microSD card. Bar the Galaxy Note5, almost every Galaxy Note series phone has had expandable storage built-in by default. Whatever happens, Samsung’s next magnum opus is looking exciting indeed. To catch Unpacked yourself, swing by on 9 August to https://www.samsung.com/my/unpacked/
