Lenovo reveals slim and powerful new Yoga Slim 7i Carbon, Yoga 6 AMD and more from RM3,799

Notebook purveyor Lenovo revealed new additions to their Yoga line-up of slim ultraportables for work in Malaysia with the addition of the new Yoga Slim 7i carbon, the Yoga Slim 9i, Yoga 9i and the Yoga 6 AMD.

The new Yoga range all aim to offer the performance, lightness and durability that the brand aspires to while offering the latest hardware such as 11th Gen Intel Core processors and Iris Xe graphics as well as premium design that includes the likes of authentic leather and sensuous mica.

Here’s how Lenovo’s the new range stacks up:

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon

 

This exceptionally slim and svelte laptop weighs just 996g and packs an impressive raft of hardware shoehorned into a carbon fibre chassis that is triple coated to achieve a unique, pearlescent Moon White finish and which is just 14.25mm thin.

In terms of hardware, the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is Intel Evo certified and sports a 13.3-inch QHD non-touch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, an Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU with Iris Xe graphics, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB SSD and a 50Wh battery with 65W USB-C charging.

Aesthetics aside, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is available from RM4,319 and f you buy it from authorised dealers or Lenovo exclusive stores, you can get RM1,300 in free gifts including a free copy of Microsoft Office Home & Student, a mini fridge, a backpack from Targus and a USB Type-C hub.

Lenovo Yoga 9i

 

The Lenovo Yoga 9i is a 14-inch convertible with touch capable displays and a 360-degree hinge  that comes with an authentic black leather cover bonded to an aluminium chassis with a 20-step bonding process to ensure a seamless melding of metal and leather. The laptop also comes with an optional aluminium mica cover.

Aesthetics aside, the Yoga 9i is issued with either an Intel Core i6-1135G7 or 17-1185G7 processor, up to 16GB DDR4 3,200MHz RAM, up to a 1TB SSD, either a 14-inch Full HD or a 14-inch UHD touch display, Iris Xe graphics and a 65W USB charger depending on how deep your pockets go. 

The leather clad variant weighs about 1.44kg, is 15.3mm thick and  is available on the Lenovo Malaysia online store while the mica variant is more mainstream, weighs 1.37kg, 14.7mm thick and can be acquired at offline Lenovo stores and authorised retailers.

The Lenovo Yoga 9i is priced from RM4,929 upwards and can be purchased at the Lenovo online store or at authorised retailers on Shopee and Lazada.

 

Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i

As its nomenclature would suggest the Yoga Slim 9i is a slimmer, sleeker version of the stock Yoga 9i. It also has the same genuine leather bonded top lid for a touch of style but where it differs is that rather than a touch capable display and a 360-degree rotating hinge, it’s primarily a standard laptop form factor with a touch display.

The chassis is slimmer and lighter at 13.9mm thin and 1.29kg in weight while packing an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB SSD and a 14-inch UHD touch display along with Intel Iris Xe graphics. Another variant of the Yoga Slim 9i exists with a 15-inch display, 10th Gen Intel Core i9 HK-series processor as well as an NVIDIA GTX 1650 Ti with Max-Q graphics card.

In terms of pricing, the Yoga Slim 9i has prices starting from RM6,629 and can be purchased at the Lenovo online store or at authorised retailers on Shopee and Lazada.

 

Yoga 6 AMD

The 13.3-inch Yoga 6 AMD is a convertible with a rotating hinge and a chassis clad in soft-touch fabric for a unique look. The hardware consists of an 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen, either an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U or  AMD Ryzen 7 4700U CPU paired with integrated AMD Radeon graphics, 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD.

Prices for the Yoga 6 AMD start from RM3,799 and it’s available at the Lenovo online store or at authorised retailers on Shopee and Lazada.
