Alongside the new midrange MatePad tablet, Huawei has also released a pair of necklace-style wireless earbuds dubbed the FreeLace Pro and a smartwatch with some hefty fitness functionality dubbed the Huawei Watch Fit to help you up your fitness game.
The Huawei Watch Fit and FreeLace Pro are both available from 9th September 2020 in Malaysia with a modest price tag of RM499 for the former and RM399 for the latter.
Huawei Watch Fit
For the uninitiated, the Huawei Watch Fit is a fitness-oriented smartwatch with a rather unusual elongated rectangular 1.64-inch AMOLED HD display that has a 70% screen-to-body ratio and a crisp 326ppi.
Like many other fitness watches, the Watch FIt is able to track your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, steps taken, remaining battery life and the like though it has an extra trick up its sleeve as it has 96 different workout modes on offer with a virtual coach that illustrates what you’re supposed to do next on screen for a dozen different workouts for varying levels of fitness.
Add in 10 days worth of battery life on a single charge and it looks like a very handy companion indeed. In Malaysia, it ships in your choice of either Sakura Pink or Graphite Black. You can buy it online at Huawei’s official store here.
For every purchase of a Watch Fit, you’re also eligible to participate in the Huawei Watch Fit Badminton Championships which have an RM10,000 cash prize up for grabs along with the opportunity to have a friendly match with Goh Liu Ying and Chan Peng Soon, Malaysia’ badminton Olympic mixed doubles silver medallists. In-depth details are on Huawei’s official Facebook page here.
Huawei FreeLace Pro
Designed for more ardent fitness enthusiasts, the FreeLace Pro is a necklace-style wireless in-ear pair of headphones with active noise cancellation and a Transparency mode that lets important external noises like oncoming traffic filter in.
It throws in up to 24 hours of battery life, assuming you leave ANC off and a 5-minute quick charge on its 150mAh battery can get you 5 hours of playback time. It also allows for connections to two devices at the same time, such as your phone and laptop that you can swap to at will. The FreeLace Pro is only available in one colour for Malaysia – Graphite Black. You can buy it online at Huawei’s official store here.
