Huawei releases nova 4 the first Punch Fullview display phone in Malaysia at RM1899

Originally released in China near the tail end of 2018, the nova 4 is the latest addition to Huawei’s midrange line-up of phones. It is an interesting offering indeed as it has what they call a Punch Fullview display, essentially a small circular dot cut out from the touchscreen to accommodate the selfie camera while maximising the amount of screen real estate available up front.

In terms of hardware, the display itself is a huge 6.4-inch Full HD+ panel with their Punch Fullview touchscreen which leaves just enough space to via the cutout to house a 3.05-mm diameter, 25-MP selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone runs on last year’s Kirin 970 processor paired up with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage with a 3,750mAh battery juiced via a USB Type-C port.

Te rear of the phone integrates a triple camera array that combines a 20-MP primary camera, a 16-MP wide angle camera and a 2-MP tertiary camera to capture depth data for bokeh shots. This is further complemented by Huawei’s Triple AI camera tech via the Neural Processing Unit on the Kirin 970 processor to dynamically and intelligently select the right settings for optimum results.
