Huawei nova 3e lands in Malaysia with AppGallery loyalty app

Smartphones these days aren’t about simply offering better specifications and companies like Huawei are stepping up to the game by offering loyalty programmes and device-specific perks such as their new AppGallery on the newly launched Huawei nova 3e that acts as Huawei’s official app store cum loyalty programme.

The new Huawei AppGallery comes preinstalled on the nova 3e and offers discounts as well as a series of curated apps and perks galore for owners of the phone. To ensure security and privacy, the AppGallery has a 3-layer security check to ensure the integrity of personal data and that user privacy is retained at all times. During a recent launch, Huawei shared some of the brands that are partnering with Huawei and which will be offering perks and discounts specific to owners of the Nova 3e.

Also known as the P20 Lite in certain other regions, the nova 3e has a 5.84-inch HFD+ touchscreen display with a 19:9 aspect ratio with a crisp 432ppi, runs Android 8.0 Oreo overlaid by their EMUI 8.0 user interface on a Kirin 659 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

The rear of the phone comes in a mirrored metallic finish that comes in one of two colours – Klein Blue or Midnight Black and a dual rear camera that combines a 16-MP f/2.2 with a secondary 2-MP camera to capture depth details paired with a front-facing 24-MP f/2.0 selfie camera. Keeping it juiced in the field is a 3,000mAh battery that has 9V2A fast charging via a USB Type C port. In Malaysia, the nova 3e will arrive in stores on 25 May at a price tag of RM1,399 though the brand is offering an immediate cashback of RM79 till 31 May 2018, which drives the price down temprarily to RM1,320.
