Huawei is launching two tablets that are sized just right for enjoying content on the go that they have dubbed as the MatePad and the MatePad T. Both tablets run Huawei’s own EMUI user interface and their own AppGallery for applications. They’ve also released a Bluetooth speaker in case you need to class up your home audio setup dubbed the Sound X for the upcoming Hari Raya holidays.

The compact MatePad T has an 8-inch display, a MediaTek MT8768 2.0GHz octacore processor paired with 2GB RAM, 32GB of storage and the ability to support a SIM card for content consumption away from WiFi. All this is crammed into a casing done up in a shade of Deepsea Blue that weighs just 310g.
The MatePad T will retail for RM559 and will come with a free 3- month Huawei Video Premium subscription and free 15GB of storage valid for a year in the Huawei Mobile Cloud.
Huawei MatePad Price
The slightly larger MatePad comes with a 10-inch 2K resolution display that has Huawei’s own ClariVu Display Enhancement tech for better colour rendition and image crispness onscreen. This is paired with a Kirin 810 2.27GHz octacore processor built on a 7nm process. The MatePad also comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage while a 7,250mAh battery keeps it powered for extended length of time in the field. Other mod-cons include LTE connectivity, quad speakers tuned by Harman Kardon as well as support for a smart magnetic keyboard and an M-Pencil stylus in a fashion akin to the MatePad Pro. The keyboard and stylus are available for purchase separately from the MatePad.
In Malaysia, the Huawei MatePad will retail for RM1,399 in Midnight Grey and will have a free flip cover to protect the display, a free 3-month subscription to the Huawei Video service and 15GB of storage in the Huawei Mobile Cloud for a year.

The Huawei Sound X packs dual subwoofers along with six tweeters with the ability to hit bass notes as low as 40Hz along with true 360-degree sound reproduction.
That’s not all, it also supports Huawei’s OneHop Audio Sharing tech so that all you need to do is to tap your Huawei phone onto the Sound X for instant pairing. For a limited time only, the Sound X is available for free when you buy the new MateBook X Pro. On its own, the Sound X retails for RM1,299 and will be available from 16 May onwards at the Huawei official online store.
