Huawei FreeBuds 3i wireless earphones with noise cancellation now in Malaysia, costs RM399

Seeing as wired headphones area gradually going the way of the dodo, wireless earphones are having their day in the sun though initial prices when they first hit the market were eyebrow-raising to say the least. Now, Huawei’s latest FreeBuds 3i have knocked the price down by quite a bit while offering noise cancellation too for just RM399.

The Huawei FreeBuds 3i have just launched in Malaysia alongside the new Huawei nova 7 SE. The earbuds have a familiar toothbrush-shape akin to their more premium siblings the FreeBuds 3.

Rather than a make-up compact shaped charging case, the FreeBuds 3 i comes with a pill-shaped design that looks like a giant slug of Aspirin that comes in your choice of either black or white.

Each earbud packs 10mm dynamic drivers and has about 3.5 hours of playback time with the charging case itself rated for about 14.5 hours for a good 18 hours of usage in total; more than enough for flying all the way across the world in one charge.

Where it is a step above the competition is the inclusion of active noise cancellation with two mics tasked with active noise cancellation in each earbud so you effectively have three per earbud – two external ones and one internal earphone. Like other Huawei gear, it’ll automatically pair with other Huawei devices but it’ll work just fine with other Android phones too.
