HP Malaysia aims to take the feel and experience of notebooks to new heights as they’ve debuted the ultra luxurious Spectre Folio 13 that comes decked in a luxurious genuine leather and an exceptionally light and svelte chassis that weighs a mere 1.4kg.
The Spectre Folio 13 is beautifully shod in hand-stitched 100% leather from its palm rests to the top lid in a shade of Cognac Brown. As a convertible, the Spectre Folio 13 can be deployed as a traditional notebook, as a tablet and with the touchscreen angled forward as a display for movie watching duties.
The leather finish is certainly a unique experience that other manufacturers haven’t done yet which makes the Spectre Folio 13 unique indeed as notebooks go. It’s not completely made of leather, of course and it still integrates a light aluminium and magnesium alloy chassis.
The hardware for the Spectre Folio 13 angles it primarily as a productivity and creativity rig with a 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen display that works with a bundled HP Digital Pen which has 4,096 levels of sensitivity for artists and doodlers alike. This is paired up with an 8th generation Intel Core i5-8200Y 1.3GHz processor or an Intel Core i7-8500Y 1.5GHz processor, up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, up to a 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and to top things off, a quartet of Bang & Olufsen tuned speakers.
Battery life is impressive indeed and HP rates the Spectre Folio to last up to 18 hours in the field. Depending on configuration, prices start from RM7,999 and the HP Spectre Folio 13 is now available in Malaysia as an exclusive from Harvey Norman which can check out here.
