Firewalk Studios and Playstation ink collaboration for new multiplayer IP

Studio head Tony Hsu of Firewalk Studios published a post on the Sony Playstation blog where he shares about the spark that impelled him to start FireWalk Studios and inspired his team’s creative journey along with a very interesting announcement.

According to Tony, Firewalk Studios, a member of the ProbablyMonsters family of studios, is teaming up with Sony Interactive Entertainment for a new multiplayer game established on an original new IP. The team is already at work developing the game and is already adding to their team.

We’re already hard at work on development and have been having a ton of fun playing our game as a team. In fact, while we continued to grow our team during this challenging last year, it was our daily online playtests that provided the most consistent point of joy and connection for our crew. The fun and laughter of playing together brought us closer, even if we were physically apart. Our goal is to be able to deliver that same joy to gamers and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on when the time is right,” said Tony in his post.

Originally established in 2018, FireWalk Studios is helmed by a host of top notch talent and a literal who’s who list of AAA game developer alumni. Tony Hsu was previously GM and SVP for Destiny at Activision. FireWalk Studios Game Director Ryan Ellis was previously Creative DIrector at Bungle. Executive Producer Elena SIegman has tours of duty at Harmonix, Irrational Games and Bungie. You can check out FireWalk Studios at their official page at www.firewalkstudios.com

Beyond these broad details, it’s somewhat hard to infer much about FireWalk Studios’ upcoming game but we’ll keep you posted!
