Dell showcases their latest PowerProtect DD Series appliances in Malaysia to keep data safe and sound

In today’s day and age where organisations are increasingly adopting a data-centric, cloud-first approach in order to remain competitive, it’s not a small exaggeration to say that data is the lifeblood of a company. No, this isn’t the equivalent of an IOU tacked to a Post-It note. We’re talking about data on a scale of millions of transactions a minute, more than what a mortal man would ever be able to crunch with a calculator and a pencil.

One example of an organisation that crunches amounts of data that large would be credit card companies as they have to sift through reams of transactions to approve credit card swipes across the globe in real time. To say nothing of having that data compromised, or worse, irretrievably damaged. That’s where Dell’s latest PowerProtect DD Series storage appliances come into the picture.

Originally unveiled at Dell Technologies World 2019 in the US, Dell’s new PowerProtect DD Series appliances made their official Malaysia debut at the Dell Technologies Forum in Kuala Lumpur. The new PowerProtect DD Series Appliances are made to make life easier while offering the same robust security and efficiency for data protection in multi-cloud workloads.

In Malaysia, Dell showcased three new PowerProtect DD Series Appliances: the Dell EMC PowerProtect DD6900, the PowerProtect DD9400, the PowerProtect DD9900 and the Dell EMC PowerProtect DD300 which are now available through Dell Technologies channel partners. Dell also announced upgrades and enhancements to their Dell EMC PowerProtect Cyber Recovery and PowerProtect software

All this sounds sweet but customers especially benefit on account of a revamped and highly efficient PowerProtect DD Management center interface that lets you see the status of all appliances be it in the cloud or on-site in one pane which makes things a lot easier. Here’s a closer look at what everything new that Dell EMC has on offer…
