In a televised address to the nation today, Malaysia Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that the ongoing conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be extended by one month and will end on June 9th 2020.
Based on the prior modus operandi for the ongoing CMCO, which was first announced on May 1st, this means that there will be no interstate travel nor will there be trips out of the country. Most business activities will be allowed to resume operations under strict operating procedures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
This means the enforcement of social distancing, the mandatory recording of temperatures and the personal details of visitors to the premises of a business establishment if there is a need for contact tracing, regular sanitisation of all critical areas and other security measures. Much like the earlier MCO that was announced earlier on in March, mass gatherings that include social gatherings, exhibitions, conferences and religious activities are still not allowed.
What this means for Malaysians is that the upcoming Hari Raya, Kaamatan and Gawai celebrations will be a more muted affair with the ban on interstate travel. Fortunately, the Prime Minister did add that close neighbours and relatives are allowed to visit each other within the state to a maximum of 20 people at a given time. Stay safe out there everyone!
Mother’s Day is just around the corner and Samsung is encouraging all of us to celebrate the key cornerstone of our lives – our mothers – and put her in the picture with a unique campaign that both honours and inspires all mothers out there.
Samsung’s Put Mom in the Picture #withGalaxy campaign aims to encourage Galaxy fans across the planet including Malaysia to celebrate moms by joining forces to share pictures of themselves and their mothers while tagging the image on Instagram with the hashtag #withGalaxy. The best shots stand a chance to be featured on Samsung’s official Instagram channel!
Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S20 series has the power and performance along with the cameras capable of making this feat possible. Samsung’s partnership with Google Duo also makes video calling with loved ones, including mom as easy as it gets too, making it an indispensable way to stay in touch and capture life’s best memories. Needless to say, this would also make an incredibly handy, and welcome gift for Mother’s Day.
The Galaxy 20 series also has a lot of other handy features about it, including a Single Take mode that captures shots with a variety of different creative filters and modes so that you’re able to get a slew of great shots with just one press of a button.
Launched earlier this year alongside the larger Galaxy A71, the Samsung Galaxy A51 was intended as a workhorse design with a decent array of specifications and a modest price tag. Now, Samsung is issuing a slightly more powerful, upgunned version of the Galaxy A51 with 8GB RAM, which is 2GB more than what the original released model had for RM100 more.
The upgunned Galaxy A51 is otherwise identical to the model released earlier this year save for the aforementioned increase to 8GB RAM versus 6GB in the original model. This increase in RAM allows for improved performance, faster app switching and a bit more overhead when performing more intensive tasks.
The rest of the hardware for both models consists of a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, an Exyonos 9611 octacore processor and 128GB of storage. The rear comes with a quad camera array centered around a primary 48-MP F/2.0 camera, a secondary 12-MP F/2.2 ultrawide angle camera, a 5-MP depth sensor and a 5-MP F/2.4 macro camera. The front hosts a 32-MP F/2.2 selfie camera. Keeping things juiced is a 4,000mAh battery.
