The DTEK60 has a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED 534ppi  touchscreen with a fingerprint repellent coating, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 32-MP of expandable storage and a rear 21-MP camera with an F/2.0 aperture paired with phase detection and dual-LED flash along with 4K video capture capability. The front comes with an 8-MP selfie camera with F/2.2 aperture and 1080p video capture capability. Overall, the DTEK60 comes with a solid set of hardware befitting a flagship phone – but where it differs is the inclusion of all of Blackberry’s other interesting tech to harden it against tampering.

Blackberry has ensured that the Android OS on the phone is hardened to ensure that potential attackers cannot compromise it. The DTEK60 also sports  full disk encryption that ensures sensitive data isn’t compromised if the phone is stolen. Blackberry’s DTEK app also tracks all your applications and notifies you if there are potential security breaches.

The phone also supports Blackberry’s extensive suite of EMM applications and productivity solutions like WatchDox for file sharing, BBM for messaging and more. A fingerprint sensor just under the rear camera is enhanced with Blackberry’s own tech that  remembers up to five fingerprints and lets you access purchases with Android Pay.

The DTEK60 is available in Malaysia via BrightStar Malaysia.
