Asus Malaysia launches Vivobook Pro OLED and Vivobook 15 OLED series laptops priced from RM2,799

OLED displays for laptops were once the province of high-end laptops on account of their price tags and their ability to serve up exquisitely deep blacks, vibrant colours and generally better image quality over mainstream LCD panels.

The new Asus range of VivoBook Pro OLED and VivoBook 15 OLED series laptops are looking to take this OLED equipped displays to the mainstream as the new range all come at decent prices. Consisting of the Vivobook Pro 14X OLED N7400, the VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500QC and the Vivobook 15 OLED, the new series all feature OLED displays and several also run on AMD processors too.

The new Vivobook Pro OLED and Vivobook 15 OLED series laptops are all available in Malaysia as of now with each one shipping with a free copy of Microsoft Home & Student preinstalled. Here’s how the new Vivobook Pro OLED and Vivobook 15 OLED series stack up!

Asus Vivobook Pro 14X OLED N7400

The Asus Vivobook Pro 14X OLED N7400 features a 14-inch 2.8K (2,880 x 1,800 pixel) OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 100% DCI-P3 as the main draw.

Under the hood, it’s powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11300H 3.1GHz processor, 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD while an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU lends it some pixel crunching punch for content creation.

It’s also notably their first laptop to have their DialPad feature which mimics the physical DialPad dial seen in their higher end laptops via their touchpad. It ships with a free carry bag and retails for RM4,799. You can check it out on the official Asus page here.

VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500QC

The VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500QC ships in three variants that differ in terms of processor, RAM and, of course, price tag though all of them feature AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs in various flavours.

Common to all 3 VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500QC variants is a 15.6-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1080) pixel OLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 512GB SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. The top of the line variant uses an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX 4.6GHz CPU, 16GB RAM with a price tag of RM5,199.

The midrange variant is similar save for the fact that it employs a slightly less powerful AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 4.4GHz CPU and a cheaper RM4,799 price point

The entry level VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500QC variant costs RM4,299 and has just 8GB RAM and an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H 4.2GHz CPU though it still has the RTX 3050 GPU and same luscious OLED display which makes still it a tempting proposition. For more details check out the official Asus page here.

VivoBook 15 OLED Price and Specifications

The VivoBook 15 OLED comes with both AMD Ryzen and 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs. The Intel variant ships with a 15.6-inch Full HD OLED display, an  11th Gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 3.0GHz processor, Intel UHD graphics, 4GB RAM and a 512GB SSD for RM2,799.

VivoBook 15 OLED

One step up is a midrange version that costs RM3,199 and features the same OLED FHD display but has an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U 4.0GHz CPU paired with AMD Radeon graphics, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD.

The most powerful version costs RM3,499 and uses a beefier AMD Ryzen 7 5700U 4.3GHz CPU and is otherwise similar to the midrange VIvoBook 15 OLED with the same display, RAM and storage options with the extra money going towards the better CPU.
