Aspiring users looking to get some high quality Netflix binging on the go will appreciate what the new Asus Vivobook 13 Slate OLED convertible has to offer that has just been launched in Malaysia for a modest RM3,499. 

What is the ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED

Revealed earlier at CES 2022, the Asus Vivobook 13 Slate OLED is essentially a 13.3-inch tablet convertible much in the manner of a Surface series laptop running WIndows 11 with a luscious OLED 1080P Dolby Vision tweaked touchscreen capable of offering up to 1.07 billion colours onscreen on account of a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The OLED display also has Pantone validation, DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification for truly deep blacks and a staggering 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio along with a swift 0.2 millisecond response time making it an exceptionally colour accurate display.

Add in a quartet of Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and you can quite literally have a portable cinema  that’s small, flat and compact enough to take almost anywhere you go. The only quibble here is that it’s capped at a 60Hz refresh rate so it’s not exactly the most ideal option for gaming.

While the ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED’s display takes center stage, it’s more than just for movies and it has enough hardware to qualify as a bona fide laptop for daily computing. In tandem with a detachable keyboard and stylus, it totes a modest Pentium Silver N6000 3.3GHz CPU running Windows 11 with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD along with Intel UHD graphics for daily computing tasks. 

For video calls, it sports a 5MP front camera and a rear 13MP camera while connectivity is sorted by WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. In terms of I/O, it has a pair of USB Type-C ports with Power Delivery support, a 3.5mm combo jack and a microSD card reader.

Keeping the ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED powered is a 50Whr 3-cell lithium ion battery that can be juiced by a 65W USB-C charger.
