Asus launches Malaysian variant of ZenBook Flip UX360CA

Befitting its name the local variant of the new Asus ZenBook Flip is a convertible with a hinge that lets you turn the 13.3-inch 1080p touchscreen display all the way around to turn it from a notebook into a slate of sorts akin to Lenovo’s Yoga series notebooks. You can also opt to prop it up like a tent to turn it into a display for movie watching duties. The display is non-detachable, mind.

The rig runs Windows 10 Home on one of the new Intel Core M M3-6Y30 Skylake processors, has 4GB RAM, a 128GB SSD and Intel HD Graphics with everything crammed into a 1.3kg casing that, according to Asus, is hewn from a single block of aluminium and is 13.9mm thin. 

It’s also one of the growing number of notebooks with a USB Type C port though traditionalists can still have a pair of USB 3.0 ports to connect with current-gen devices along with a card reader and a micro-HDMI display port. The notebook, like others in Asus’ notebook line-up has speakers juiced up with their own SonicMaster audio tech and interestingly enough, is rated to be ‘Cortana’ certified along with a noise-reduction mike so you can boss her around in a better fashion.

Battery life on the built-in 4,590 mAh battery is rated at 12 hours which is pretty good by industry standards and is fanless to boot, making it whisper silent when in use. The FlipBook comes in either Icicle Gold or Mineral Gray, retails for RM3,099 and is now available in Malaysia at all their dealers nationwide. For more details swing by their official site here.
