Acer Spin 3, TravelMate P614 and C250i projector make Malaysia debut
After their official debut at CES 2020, Acer are bringing in their Spin 3 convertible and TravelMate P614 business notebooks to Malaysia along with the Aspire C27-962 All-in-One PC, the CB342CK monitor and more to Malaysia. Here’s how much they cost invidually and their launch dates.
Acer Spin 3
The Acer Spin 3 convertible comes with a 360-degree hinge that lets you use it as a traditional notebook or flipped all the way around so that the 14-inch Full HD IPS touch display becomes an artistically oriented stylus as it comes with an Acer Active Stylus that integrates Wacom’s AES 1.0 Pen tech. The stylus itself has 4,096 levels of sensitivity which makes it ideal for artists and the chassis has a stylus well for convenient storage.
For the rest of the hardware, the Acer Spin 3 comes in two configurations, both of which have the same aforementioned 14-inch 1080P touch display but which primarily differ in terms of CPU, RAM and GPU. The higher end variant, designated as SP314-54N-54B comes with an Intel Core i5-1035G1 CPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, Intel Iris Plus graphics and a 512GB SSD as well as WiFI 6 support for RM3,199.
The cheaper variant, designated as SP314-54N-38F9 has an Intel Core i3-1005G1 processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM, Intel UHD graphics, a 512GB SSD and WiFi 6 support too for RM2,699. Both variants will be available in March at all Acer Concept stores, Acer official online stores and selected Acer official resellers. There’s also a promotion with buyers of the first five units of any variant of the Spin 3 at any of these stores getting a portable Bluetooth speaker worth RM219.
Acer TravelMate P614
The latest generation Acer TravelMate P614 comes with 10th gen Intel Core processors, corporate-grade security as well as exceptional durability with a MIL-STD-810G rating which means it can survive scenarios that would turn other notebooks into goo. In Malaysia, the Acer TravelMate P614 comes in two different configurations that differ in terms of RAM, storage, processor and GPU though both have a similar 14-inch Full HD 1080P IPS display as well as a HDMI port with HDCP support.
The highest end variant, dubbed the P614-51TG-G2-78WZ is the highest specced version with an Intel Core i7-1051U, 8GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM. All this clocks in at RM6,299.
The more affordable variant, designated as P614-51T-G2-55Z1 has an Intel Core i5-1021U processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, a 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD and Intel UHD graphics. This variant retails for RM,4899. Both variants have an integrated Trusted Platform Module 2.0 hardware-based security solution to retain password and encryption keys along with Windows Hello support via the IR webcam or fingerprint reader.
Acer Aspire C27 All-in-one
This latest addition to Acer’s all-in-one line comes with exceptional slimness and ultra thin bezels with a thinness of just 6.8mm when viewed from the side. The 27-inch 1080P display is tiltable from -5 to 25-degrees and has a matte anti-glare coating. The rest of the hardware consists of a 10th gen Intel COre i5-1035G1, 8GB DDR4 2,666MHz RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce MX130 GPU as well as a 512GB PCIe SSD and a 1TB 5,400 RPM hard disk. The Aspire C27 all-in-one is now available nationwide at RM3,499.
Acer C250i LED projector
If you’re looking for a way to enjoy large-scale portable movies and get some presentations done on the go, the Acer C250i portable multi-angle projector is the right kit for the job as it has a rather novel twisted roll design that lets you angle it onto almost any imaginable surface in up to 1080P. It also packs integrated speakers and the 9000mAh battery allows for 5 hours of extended use in the field. In terms of ports the Acer C250i has the full monty with a HDMI, USB Type-C and USB Type-A to cover all options for laptops and smartphones alike in current service. The Acer C250i LED projector retails at RM1,699 and is available nationwide.
