Wiko officially launches Lenny 2, Fever and Highway Pure Swarovski phones in Malaysia

French phone maker Wiko officially made their presence known in the Malaysian market today with the launch of a trio of their latest smartphones that all cost under RM999.

The new triumvirate of phones is spearheaded by the flagship Highway Pure Swarovski edition – the first time it’s been launched globally.

DSC04844 (Custom)The phone is upgunned variant of their Highway Pure phone that has more storage and is embellished with 16 Swarovski crystals on the power button and volume rocker.

The Highway Pure comes with 4.8-inch AMOLED HD 306ppi display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz quadcore processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB of non expandable storage, a rear Sony-sourced 8-MP camera and a front 5-MP in a metal casing that’s just 5.1mm at its thinnest point and 98g in weight.

The Pure is also notable in that it has a completely flat chassis without any portruding camera lens array and a single SIM card slot. It retails for RM999 in only white/gold.

The midrange entrant of the triumvirate is the Fever which has a 5.2-inch 1080P 424ppi display, a 1.3GHz octacore processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of expandable onboard storage, 4G connectivity and dual SIM card support.

DSC04823 (Custom)The rear camera has a 13-MP sensor and a front 5-MP selfie camera. Both front and rear cameras can take 1080P video. The phone has a 2900mAh battery and ships in black/gold, white/gold and black/grey with a textured faux leather read backplate. What gives the phone its unique name is the fact that it sports luminescent highlights that glow in the dark. It ships for RM799. One of its more unique features is the ability to capture a dual video selfie via a simultaneous feed from the front and rear camera.

The Fever is in the middle literally and figuratively in terms of size, price and hardware.

The entry level Lenny 2 has dual SIM card support (1 mini and 1 micro SIM), up to HSPA+ connectivity, a 5-inch FWVGA resolution display (480×854 pixels), a 1.3GHz quadcore processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, a removable 1800mAh battery, a rear 5-MP camera and a front 2-MP camera.

The Lenny 2 comes officially in black, white, coral, blue and an unusual greenish/blue shade they’ve dubbed as ‘Bleen’ for RM299.

Also launched were a number of accessories that go with the phones that range from RM39 and up. The Lenny 2, Highway Pure Swarovski and Fever all ship with a screen protector and back casing.
