The OPPO F5 6GB is official and up for preorders at RM1698

Following on from last month’s F5 selfie camphone launch, OPPO has now debuted an upgunned version of the phone dubbed the F5 6GB. The OPPO F5 6GB is essentially identical to the OPPO F5 except for more RAM and more onboard storage.

The F5 6GB has a similar 6.0-inch FHD+ 2,160 x 1080 pixel touchscreen with a wide 2:1 aspect ratio up front and runs Android Nougat 7.0 on a MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763 2.3GHz octacore processor along with a rear 16-MP F/1.8 camera and a larger front-facing 20-MP F/2.0 camera that incorporates enhanced AI for better selfies. Where the F5 6GB differs is that it has more RAM to the tune of 6GB along with 64GB of expandable storage versus the stock version that has a more modest 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage.

The F5 6GB will come in your choice of black and red for RM1,698. Like the stock F5, the F5 6GB will also have free Arena of Valor downloadable content in the form of a free redemption code for the Joker.

As part of the preorders, OPPO also has created a specially made limited-edition gift box that contains a polycarbonate phone casing done up in red embellished with over 150 Swarovski crystals that come with a dual triangular motif on the back.
