Samsung’s ostrich ad scores awards aplenty at Cannes and beyond

Samsung has a knack of coming up with rather catchy commercials. In one of them, a curious ostrich dons the Gear VR combined with a Galaxy S8. To the tune of Elton John’s ‘Rocket Man’, it learns to take flight, showing how their Gear VR opens up new worlds. Samsung’s ostrich ad is whimsical and memorable in equal measure to the point that it bagged a slew of awards. How many? A whopping 36 of them.

Samsung’s ostrich ad has gotten seven Gold Pencils, three Silver Pencils and three Bronze Pencils in the Branded Entertainment category at the prestigious The One Club Awards along with a pack of Golden Lions at Cannes Lions 2017, multiple awards at the Clio Awards 2017 as well as a host of Gold, Silver and Bronze Status at the London International Awards 2017. That, folks, is quite a feat. To refresh your memory, here’s the ad:
