If you’ve been waiting in anticipation for ‘The Inpatient’, Supermassive Games’ prequel to their titular horror game Until Dawn, well, too bad. While the game has been slated for release this month, they’ve pushed the release date forward to January 2018 , presumably to make it even more pants-wettingly terrifying than it already is.
For the uninitiated, ‘The Inpatient’ is a VR game on the PlayStation 4 that has you as an amnesiac patient stuck in a loony bin called the Sanitorium. The game is set decades before the original game Until Dawn and has multiple endings and different choices to make throughout the game which slowly builds on the fear factor with a binaural soundtrack and psychological horror elements.
The game will retail for RM159 for the disc version and RM149 for the digital version and comes with Chinese, English and Korean voiceovers and your choice of Chinese, English and Korean subtitles with a 24 January 2018 release date for Asia. For more details check out asia.playstation.com
