OPPO’s new Sonica Wi-Fi speakers are yours for RM1,299

While OPPO is best known for making phones, they’re apparently cracking good at making audio gear too. Their newly launched Sonica Wi-Fi speaker has a 2.1 audio setup with a 3.5-inch bass driver, a pair of 3-inch balanced bass radiators and a pair of 2.5-inch wideband neodymium-magnet-enhanced drivers to churn out some hefty audio.

The speakers play music off most audio sources including straight off Android devices, Apple’s Airplay protocol for most of their kit, Bluetooth 4.1 enabled gear and has Wi-Fi /AC support too as well as direct Tidal and Spotify support. In terms of music Sonica supports 24-bit/192kHz lossless audio in FLAC, WAV and Apple Lossless formats.  

The Sonica also has multi-room support via an app, allowing multiple Sonica speakers to play off the same audio source and you can even pair two of them up to create a 2.0 stereo experience.
