OPPO unveiled one of their most powerful phones ever made, the Find X in a grand launch in Paris, France a scant few days ago. Now, they’ve unveiled a teaser that indicates that their uber phone may be arriving on Malaysia’s shores in a matter of days on 17 July.
At launch, the Find X appeared onstage with a unique pop-up mechanism that hides its cameras with a front-facing 25-MP selfie camera on the front and a dual-camera array that combines a 16-MP and 20-MP camera on the back. According to OPPO, it takes just half a second for the motorised slider to move the camera array up which makes for a snappy response indeed.
The rest of the Find X consists of a 6.4-inch curved FHD+ AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Other mod-cons include a 3,730mAh battery that has OPPO’s VOOC fast charging tech. The phone lacks a 3.5mm audio jack and also lacks a fingerprint reader though it instead uses facial recognition tech that fires up with you pop open the front camera array.
There’s no word on price yet locally but at launch in Paris, the OPPO Find X was announced to retail at 999 Euros which translates to RM4,740. There’s no other details barring the date but we’ll keep you posted.
