Lenovo brings out the big guns with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080 equipped gaming rig

At Computex 2016, Lenovo took the wraps off their latest gaming behemoth, a refresh of their Ideacentre Y900 gaming desktop that packs NVIDIA’s recently unveiled GTX 1080 graphics card.

NVIDIA’s latest wunderkind, the GTX 1080 is a hefty powerhouse with the pixel crunching grunt capable of delivering double the performance and almost triple the efficiency of the GeForce GTX Titan X2 with clock speeds of 1700mHz. It’s powerful enough to handle demanding games like Black Ops 3 at maximum quality and take on multi-screen gameplay without a hitch. Lookswise the Ideacentre hasn’t changed much from prior incarnations and has retained its characteristic  matte black aesthetic with red trim.

The rest of the hardware hasn’t been fully finalised yet but it will pack a quad-core 6th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and will cost US$1899 (About RM7,707) with it reaching store shelves Stateside first in June this year.
