One of the most revered ceremonies in recent times is the passing of the Olympic torch which has its roots back to the original Olympics once held in ancient Greece. For the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, three inspiring Malaysians had the privilege to pass the Olympic torch to honour the ancient tradition and light the way for the athletes that will compete in the event.

As a presenting partner of the Olympic Torch Relay for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, Samsung Malaysia Electronics had the opportunity to select three truly outstanding Malaysians to be torchbearers for the  Incheon leg of the relay. The three – Jin Lim, Jenn Chia and Josephine Yap did the nation proud by relaying the prestigious flame and embodying Samsung’s ethos of ‘Do What You Can’t’.

Our nominations of Jin, Jenn and Josephine are meant to encourage everyone to actively take part in and enjoy not just the Olympic games, but the things that we are most passionate about in life as well,” said Yoonsoo Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
