Honor’s latest midrange workhorse phone dubbed the honor 9 lite has just launched in Malaysia. What makes the honor 9 lite stand out is that the phone integrates a front and rear dual-camera 13-MP and 2-MP array, making it one of an elusive few quad camphones on the planet much like the earlier Huawei Nova 2i.
The secondary 2-MP camera in both the front and rear camera array acts to capture depth of field data for the now ubiquitous bokeh shots. The cameras also have a live beauty mode that virtually adds makeup to your mug on the fly for snaps and videocalls. The rear camera array also integrates phase detection autofocus for better shots.
In terms of its other hardware, the honor 9 Lite has a 5.65-inch Full HD+ display with 428ppi and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is also sheathed in 2.5d glass and sports super slim side bezels.
The phone runs Android Oreo 8.0 overlaid with their EMUI 8.0 user interface on a midrange Kirin 659 octacore processor. This is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Keeping it juiced is a 3,000mAh battery that is rated to offer all-day performance.
For the Malaysia market, the honor 9 Lite comes in two colours – Sapphire Blue and Glacier Gray and much like the earlier Honor 8, the backplate is sheathed in a multi-layer glass laminate that offers a unique mirrored finish that reflects the light in interesting ways.
The honor 9 lite retails for RM749 and is exclusively launched today on Shopee. For a limited time only, you can snag the phone for a super low RM699 in the Shopee Shocking Sale that takes place for one day only on 9 March 2018.
The launch also coincides with the official launch of the honor online store on Shopee where users can purchase new honor devices and the accessories to go with them too.
If you’re keen, you can check out the phone and give it a whirl at an honor 9 lite showcase at the concourse level of the Nu Sentral mall from today till Sunday. For more details swing by www.shopee.com.my/honormy.officialstore
