Fave lifestyle app now offers FavePay for cashback rewards

Formerly known as Groupon until their rebranding earlier this year to Fave, the lifestyle platform has gotten a new lick of paint and a new mandate to become a one-stop shop for shopping, bargains, coupon deals and more. Rather than just simply offering deals, the Fave app has now integrated a mobile payment aggregator dubbed FavePay that lets you pay via a credit card to enjoy cashback bonuses.

Currently, the Fave platform allows for users on both iOS and Android devices to get a host of bargains and deals across a variety of different merchants that cover a variety of categories from food and beverage, beauty and wellness all the way to leisure and travel. It also has a novel geolocation option that relies on GPS to introduce nearby deals depending on where the user is. The FavePay platform builds on this diverse base and allows customers to enjoy immediate, tangible benefits from their purchases via cashback.Fave app launch mechanism

The FavePay payment mechanism lets you key in your credit card details into the Fave app. Once you’ve purchased or acquired something off a Fave merchant partner, you then key in the amount to pay, scan in the merchant’s provided QR code via your smartphone’s camera and you can then get cashback bonuses to the tune of up to 20% on your next visit to that establishment. Later on, FavePay aims to add tiering to reward frequent, brand loyal customers. Currently, the FavePay platform allows for credit cards for payment and works with merchants in Singapore and Malaysia with Indonesia on the cards later on though they will integrate other online payment options including AliPay by the end of the year.

To date, the FavePay platform has over 500 merchant partners in Malaysia with over 770,000 active users monthly and over 3.4 million transactions in total annually. In Malaysia, most FavePay merchants are mostly food and beverage providers such as Famous Amos, Auntie Anne’s, OJO Coffee and more that are concentrated around the Klang Valley though they are planning an expansion to Penang within the next couple of months and to other cities nationwide later on. The Fave app is available for free download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play store and also online at myfave.com/app.
