Dell showcases the new Inspiron 7000 series notebooks starting from RM5,449

Dell Malaysia expanded their roster of Inspiron notebooks with the addition of the new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 convertible and the larger sized clamshell Inspiron 15 7000 notebook which come with 8th generation Intel Core processors. Both of the new rigs were announced today at the relaunch of their exclusive store at Lowyat Plaza today. The revamped Dell store showcases their extensive range of notebooks across the range including their latest Vostro and XPS range notebooks.

The compact Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 takes a leaf from the XPS 13 2-in-1 in that it comes with a robust set of double hinges to enable users to flip the display around and about to turn it into a tablet as the situation demands. The stock configuration comes with an Intel Core i5-8250U 3.4GHz processor, 8GB DDR4 SDRAM, a 256GB SSD, Intel HD graphics and a 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen for RM 5,499.

Battery life is rated at over eight hours of use in the field. Chunk out a bit more cash and you get a nippier Intel Core i7-8550U processor for RM5,899. Both of them come with an Windows Hello authentication beefed up with an integrated infrared camera for identifying your mug in low light conditions. The Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 convertible only comes in a shade of Era Gray for the local market.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 comes in a traditional clamshell form factor and in two different colours Platinum Silver and in this case, Champagne Pink


Those looking for a more traditional clamshell notebook will likely find the Inspiron 15 7000 more appealing. The stock unit comes with an Intel Core i5-8250U 3.4GHz processor, 4GB DDR4 SDRAM, a 128GB SSD paired with a 1TB hard disk, Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics and a 15.6-inch IPS Full HD display for RM4,499. It also has Waves MaxxAudio Pro tech to make the most of the notebook’s integrated stereo speakers and their Smartbyte Superior Streaming tech to optimise connections for smoother browsing and streaming. The Inspiron 15 7000 also sports an upgraded variant which is otherwise similar bar a larger 256GB SSD and an Intel Core i7-8550U processor for RM5,499. Battery life is rated at just under nine hours of use before needing a juicing. Both variants of the Inspiron 15 7000 come in your choice of Platinum Silver or Pink Champagne.
