Channel Zero: Candle Cove is the creepiest thing you’ll watch this month on iFlix

For the jaded cinemaphile, horror flicks are usually kitschy affairs that attempt to shock more with buckets of gore than anything that is remotely terrifying but iFlix aims to put paid to that as they’re about to launch season 1 of Channel Zero: Candle Cove.

The show is based on Kris Straub’s short internet “creepypasta” skit online, a growing genre of creepy horror unique unto the internet. The show expands on that and talks about one Mike Painter (Paul Schneider), a shrink who returns to his childhood hometown to find out more about what happened to his late brother, who was one of five children murdered in an unsolved case.

Mysterious events are afoot when he discovers that a puppet show on TV that he watched when he was a child called Candle Cove didn’t actually exist and that all that he was watching was simply TV static and that it may be responsible for the mysterious happenings so far.

Season one of Channel Zero: Candle Cove is now available on Malaysia, Thailand, the Phillipines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Brunie. For more info swing by www.iflix.com.
